Reason for Delay of Shipment (Nov delayed to Dec 2022)

I have received lots of confused emails asking why their orders hasn't been sent yet. Orders from the June Pre-order batch, July-August pre-order Batch, as well as orders from September and October were originally meant to ship out starting from November. I sent out an email to customers of the abovementioned orders starting my plans and schedule to ship out orders across November and December.

However, less than a week after that email, I fell sick with COVID. Naturally, due to both health and hygiene reasons, I was unable to pack any orders or ship any orders.

My COVID experiences was shared and detailed on my Instagram posts. The reason why I chose to post it on Instagram is because it was the easiest and fastest way for me to update everyone regarding my health, and, your order's shipment delays. As long as I was still sick, I could not work, pack, or even draw. I detailed my experiences thoroughly on my Instagram posts. Even after I had a negative COVID test, I expressed my difficulty with lingering lethargy and difficulty breathing/heaviness in the chest. Because of this I was not able to pack as efficiently as usual. Thankfully, after another 10 days or so, those symptoms eventually subsided and I was finally able to continue packing more properly in December.

All orders from June to Oct are on track to be shipped out by the end of December.

[Email Announcements]

I understand that email announcements makes it easy for customers to stay informed. That was why I tested it by sending mass emails about the original shipping notification in November. The mass email newsletter in November was sent using a service called MailChimp. However, due to MailChimp's restrictions, it was not possible for me to send out a second batch of mass emails to everyone within the same month in November. In other words, the only way for me to email customers regarding my Covid condition and consequent shipping delays was only by sending emails out one order at a time for every order.

However, as I was struggling with COVID, it was rather difficult to try and send emails one by one. There are over 600 orders and it would take too much time and energy for me to click send emails to all 600 orders one by one. Had I been healthy enough at the time, I would have done so. However, my Covid experience made doing so quite challenging.

That was why I had opted to make posts on Instagram instead, as it would be publicly visible for all my customers/followers to see and be informed, but without requiring me to exert so much energy while I was still battling COVID.

Unfortunately, it seems that I have miscalculated as there was a significant percentage who did not see the Instagram posts, and are therefore confused about why their order shipment got delayed. For that, I apologize. In order to avoid such things from happening again, please continue reading.

Recap of issues:

- it isn't realistic for me to send emails one by one, order by order

- MailChimp is unsuitable for my shop's needs

- however email updates is the best way for you, the customer, to stay informed about general updates and announcements

- major announcements such as big delays (e.g. delays caused by manufacturing errors, delays caused by factory closure/lockdowns in China, delays caused by Addigni falling sick with major illness/injury, delays caused by change of system in the Postal Service, etc)

- any other announcements that would affect everyone's orders

[The Email Newsletter will NOT be used as]

- it will NOT be used to spam you with new products

- it will NOT be used to spam you with Sales/Promotions/Offers

- it will NOT be used to spam you with trivial announcements

The Email Newsletter will be used only for important updates that affects almost everyone. The email newsletter will be sent out sparingly and only when necessary.
